Duties include performing basic professional and administrative work in an office setting, as well as assisting with field operations as needed.
This role serves as an initial point of contact for utility customers who have questions regarding accounts for water, sewer, and refuse collection.
The desired candidate will be knowledgeable of standard office practices, procedures, and equipment; be proficient in writing and basic arithmetic; possess the ability to type accurately and at a reasonable rate of speed; have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow City team members, utility customers, and the general public; be able to follow oral and written instructions.
Field operation duties include installing, troubleshooting, and reading water meters; working with customers on leak adjustments and other issues, and servicing/cleaning meter boxes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with customer billing are desired.
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
High School Diploma or GED is required.
A valid Driver's License is required.
The starting salary is $30,958 with the potential for pay increases for acquiring additional skills and/or education.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
