, the leading source for hardwood tree establishment and conservation projects in the Mid-Atlantic region, has a rare opportunity to join our Executive Team.
We are seeking a Contracting Manager to serve as a member of our Board of Directors and to help set vision and promote our company's mission and values to employees, clients and vendors.
The Contracting Manager's core duty is to provide end-to-end guidance and processing for all contract jobs.
This position is also responsible for leading our team of Project Coordinators, including occasionally leading crews in Coordinators' absence; sourcing contract and international labor including 1099s and H2B workers; collaborating with our Marketing Department to accurately represent and foster growth based upon our experience and capabilities; providing costing guidance to our team of estimators and overseeing client invoicing; and maintaining solid client and vendor relationships.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced people leader with knowledge of forestry, contracting, and business.
Degree in a related field is required and certification in Forestry is preferred.

- Manage and oversee the entire contract lifecycle, from initiation to closeout - Conduct research and analysis to support contract development and negotiation - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure contract compliance - Implement change management processes to ensure smooth transitions and updates to contracts - Review and negotiate contract terms and conditions with clients - Ensure all contracts adhere to legal requirements and company policies - Monitor contract performance and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Law, or related field - Proven experience in contract management or a related role - Strong knowledge of contract law and regulations - Excellent negotiation and communication skills - Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions - Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Please note that this is a general job description for a Contract Manager position.
